In the affected vehicles, if the accelerator pedal is pushed downward at a certain angle, the pedal may get stuck in the wide open throttle position due to interference with the accelerator pedal stopper.

CONSEQUENCE:
A stuck accelerator pedal can result in uncontrolled acceleration, increasing the risk of a crash.

REMEDY:
Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will replace the accelerator pedal stopper with a larger one, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2014. Owners may contact Winnebago at 1-800-537-1885.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 107
Manufacturer: Winnebago Industries, Inc

Makes/Models/Model Years:
WINNEBAGO ITASCA VIVA 2014
WINNEBAGO TRAVATO 2014-2015

Default Re: Winnebago Travato / Trend / Itasca Viva - Recall

Transport Canada: WINNEBAGO INDUSTRIES issued a recall on the TRAVATO, TREND, and VIVA! models

Starting date: June 13, 2014
Type of communication: Recall
Subcategory: Motorhome
Notification type: Safety Mfr
System: Electrical
Units affected: 60
Source of recall: Transport Canada
Identification number: 2014232
TC ID number: 2014232

Advisory details
On certain vehicles built on the Ram ProMaster chassis, water ingress around the in-floor battery cover and door footwell trim could cause electrical circuit corrosion, potentially causing the engine to stall resulting in a loss of motive power and could also disable the airbags, turn signals, parking, stop and/or reverse lamps. These issues could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will apply sealer, relocate electrical components and apply dielectric grease as necessary.

Makes and models affected
ITASCA 2014, 2015
WINNEBAGO 2014, 2015, 2014, 2015

Default Re: Winnebago Travato / Trend / Itasca Viva - Recall

RECALL Subject : TPMS may not Locate Sensors/FMVSS 138

Report Receipt Date: JAN 12, 2015
NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V008000
Component(s): TIRES
Potential Number of Units Affected: 1,107

Manufacturer: Winnebago Industries, Inc

SUMMARY:
Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Winnebago Trend, Travato, and Itasca Viva motorhomes manufactured November 13, 2014, to December 23, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may fail to learn the locations of the individual sensors while the vehicle is being driven. As a result, the low tire pressure warning light will illuminate, despite the the tire pressures being within specification. Should one of the tires lose air pressure, the driver would not be notified of the change in air pressure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."

CONSEQUENCE:
If the TPMS light illuminates because the sensors cannot be located, it could mask an actual low tire pressure condition, possibly resulting in tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

REMEDY:
Winnebago will have Chrysler notify owners, and dealers will update the TPMS module software, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is P62.

NOTES:
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
