You are not alone in that sentiment, which fascinates me because I myself don't feel any such burden. I get up, shower, dress, and brush my teeth every morning, and have done so every day for more than half a century now. I don't find that preparatory sequence to be daunting, so why would I find [five minutes to put up a bed] daunting? But people do seem to feel that way.

.

I hate those sofa beds.

They are not comfortable to sit in,
and they are not comfortable to sleep in.

That's just me.
YMMV

There are tricks to make it less daunting (of course, were only camping for weeks - not months at a time). As Interblog mentioned, it just became part of our daily routine, we gave it little thought, and it took only a minute or two.

What we did was convert the rear lounge only from bed to sofa each day, not to a full dinette since we usually eat holding our plates and used side cup holders for our drinks. This saved a lot of time (and space) not having to set up a table.

To make the bedding guick & easy, we slept in/on light sleeping bags instead of making the bed with sheets. In the morning, we just rolled our pillows up inside the sleeping bags and stowed them to each side during the day. By each of us having our own sleeping bag, we could independently break down our beds if we arose at slightly different times.

Another bonus of the sleeping bags is they provided a little extra cushion on top of the memory foam cushion seams, which effectively made them unnoticeable.

Perfectly understandable. For years, my morning routine before going to work included dressing up in formal attire ( necktie etc.) then repeating it at the gym's locker room at lunch time. I did not think much of it, until I noticed this fellow at the gym who had shortcut the process: he would loosen his necktie, undo the top buttons of his shirt, and take them both off as a set over his head, then repeat the process in reverse at the end of his workout. BTW he was not wearing neither an undershirt nor underpants LOL!
Each to his own!
