The East parking lot at Ballys often has occupied RV's.

Enter off of Flamingo East of LV blvd.

BTW the GC is at elevation and may be chilly overnight.
temps today high around 50º as a weather system moves through

We boondocked in the surface parking lot behind Excalibur for free.

We stayed at the Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in the Roadtrek we previously owned.

That was 8+ years ago. I remember having the pool all to ourselves. It was in February so nice temperatures for us coming from Canada .........

Xplorer Steve on youtube lives in Vegas. He's recommended staying away from the strip and using many of the parking lots/strip malls a few blocks over.

I would have thought you'd get chased out of the casino lots on the strip, but I guess not from the comments above.

When we stopped at Excalibur there were about a half dozen RVs in the lot. How do they know you aren't inside gambling?

Yep. Why else would you be there, right?

Goes to show you - 99% don't care what you are doing as long as you aren't causing trouble. Most folks are minding their own business and don't care or notice what you are doing.

If you use google earth and look at the casino lots, you'll spot rvs and trucks parked.

for the most part they all leave some money behind to pay for the lights.

in past years, i had landed in this lot and walked the strip.

the ballys lot is fairly well patrolled and often a security guy at the driveway- which is adjacent to an employee lot gate.
there is also a 24 food court (on the Flamingo side by the sports book) w/ restrooms

so ok for an overnight or 2 maybe ....the thrill of LV fades fast

the Oasis is quite a ways South...expensive to cab it, so you'd likely pull up and park at ballys ( or other) and walk.

the development in Vegas has reduced the amount of free- open parking.
many of the old lots are replaced by multi-story structures

Thank you so much for all your replies, we did make it to las vegas, and ended up staying in the ballys parking lot off of flamingo avenue, about 8 other rv's were there with us, many coming and going, , felt safe there, parked near the attendants booth, so to be close if any thing should arise, cant beat 2 free nights in vegas, this is why I love my class b roadtrek, but thank you again, without your help I never would have known about the diffferent option on places to stay,,,,,,,,, take care,,,,,

Update ...and caesars entertainment announced today that all of it's properties except the Rio will be instituting paid or valet only parking options- this would include Ballys in 2017
