Default Los Angeles to Knoxville: where to overnight w/hookups?

Hi All,

Ready to take my Roadtrek Chevy 210P to Knoxville, will be looking to stay in campgrounds or RV parks with 30 amp hookups at the very least. I've got a place to stay in Knoxville.

It looks a little slim from Flagstaff, AZ to Little Rock, AR (going on I-40).

I've got the AllStays App, but wondered if any of you had any recommendations?

Thanks in advance--

Jim

There are a good number of TVA dams south of I40. They all have Corps of Engineers campgrounds. Very nice and inexpensive. N.B. If you have an NPS Senior Pass, you save 50%. A lot of the campgrounds are honor system, so don't forget to take your discount.

"with 30 amp hookups at the very least"

Why is that?

Check with Corps of Engineers campgrounds along I40, as there are many. Tried to stay in Ark. but closed due to flooding at that time. 1/2 off with senior pass. Plan your daily travel time and then look for CG close to that time.

I did a cross country trip in my RT 190. Had the latest KOA catalog and reserved ahead each day. Put 7,000 miles on and stayed at KOAs except for time with friends in WV and FL. I like KOAs cause they are always, usually, clean and choice of 30 or 50 amp. They seemed to have a theme depending on what State they were in.

So would not hesitate recommending KOAs for your trip. My trip started in N. CA and went East to WV, south to FL and West back to CA. Bob

Thanks for the reply, my apologies, I've been on the road, of course! I wanted the 30 amp to make sure all my systems worked in the 210, as this is my maiden voyage, so to speak.

Thanks Bob, I will check them out on my way back to CA. Have never stayed at a KOA but will report back. Thanks again for the reply!

Thanks, Avanti, I will check out those places. I don't qualify for the senior discount just yet, but am preparing!

Thanks to everyone who replied! I'm still learning how my rig works, and everything seems to work very well. For my next trick I will dump the tanks tomorrow. I have a macerator pump, which supposedly is easier. Stay tuned...
