Default The summer campsite

We like the site we took this year better than last year.
Despite it's really the polluted Welland River, you can fish in it, see wild life....

The youngest grandson is really upset, he thinks the tree is trying to steal his brother's bike. Had a lot of fun the first time they saw it.

We keep the site from May24 to the end of Sept. It's a short 30 min. from home, so we can even spend week nights there. It's like a cheap cottage

Still longing to get on the road, but no good tow vehicle for the hardtop yet. May have to wait till the wife retires, she works 3 days a week, but it always seems to be on weekends.

It's just outside the tiny town of Wellandport. Which is just down Camboro Rd. or Hwy 20 from Welland/Fonthill area. It's situated on Chipawa Creek (Welland River).

It also has a large man-made lake that is stocked with Bass and has a fishing derby at the opening of fishing season June 30th??

I think I know the place. We used to camp there years ago when I lived in the area. It is a nice park. I will have to give it another try.
