Default Checking the Onan generator oil level

Today I checked the oil level on my 2004 Pop 190's Onan generator and there was none that I could see on the dipstick. But then it hit me that in order to check the level one has to be able to crawl under the rear of the RV which means it's not level. So I am left wondering how level does the generator have to be in order to accurately measure the oil level?

I guess it depends how thick you are across the middle. I put a piece of carpet on the ground, slide under there and check it. If you have to raise it then raise all four wheels the same.

Default Onan Genset Oil Level

So I crawled under the back of the Pop 190 and noticed a drop of oil on the genset's oil plug. Then I discovered it was loose - I could turn it with just my fingers. That sure explains why my oil level was low. I tightened it nice and snug being careful not to over-tighten and will refill with oil when I get the chance. Thanks to all who helped me with this genset problem.
