Just about every end user that bought Advanced RVs had custom input in their Bs from very simple things to extremely complex and there is nothing proprietary or secret as to what they did or what they are planning. Anyone can attend their annual Advanced Fest in May and see it all laid bare. The FitRV attended twice and learned a lot. I'm sure they have done things for customers they thought a tad crazy but I think they left them satisfied. They readily listen to suggestions and attempt to accomplish them. One of the most frustrating things about owning an Advanced RV is knowing the next one out the door will leave you thinking why didn't I think to ask for that. When I picked up my B they were installing their first 360 deg. camera system on the next one. They have been good about doing upgrades if feasible for the new stuff that seems mostly customer driven and they have been great about solving problems or improving their systems from customer feedback. ARV's owner makes frequent RV trips to learn for himself and encourages his employees to do the same to understand what they are building and how it all works.

I agree that a low-point drain is a good idea, and also that it is far from adequate. You can drain the pipes just fine that way, but the fact is that PEX is very unlikely to be damaged even in a hard freeze. The real problems are plastic fixtures, pumps, etc. They accumulate water in nooks and crannies and nothing short of compressed air will clear them safely.

That said, once mastered, compressed-air winterization is quick and easy. I typically do it several times in a given winter, since we do not hesitate to take the rig out in cold weather, or to enjoy ALL the systems when we do so.
