Default Ford Transit CCP Upgrade

The Ford Transit has a lot of options that make each model distinctly different from each other. I have a T250 3.7L LWB MR with one battery, that subsequently comes with only one powered terminal in the Customer Connection Point.
This CCP is located on the pedestal of the driver's seat and allows us DIY'ers to draw 12V from the alternator. With only one terminal available, it supports a maximum load of 60 Amps.

Recently, I ordered an upgrade kit from my local Ford dealer to add another two terminals, to bring the total possible load to 180 Amps. Sufficient to power a 2000W inverter (while driving). That's what I installed this weekend.



Besides the whole flimsiness of the battery set-up under the driver's seat, it took me 4 hours to get it dismantled and reinstalled. If you have any questions about, I may be able to help you. You read about all the details here or watch the video.
