Default separate gas tank for generator

can you add a separate 5 gallon tank for generator so you do not have to treat 30 gallons of gas to treat ther generator fuel,

you could but the costs probably outweigh the benefits...where to mount it, how to make it safer in a crash, how to fill it.

you may want to install a petcock or fuel valve on your genny fuel line, I can reach mine in the rear wheel well and switch off the gas and run the genny until it stalls.
the float bowl is then about dry and there is no fuel to clog the jets.

$5

Every generator carb I have seen has a drain for the float bowl. You could just drain the carburetor if it is going to sit a while.
