Default I need some solar panel help.

I recently purchased a 2000 American Cruiser and it has a SunForce 20 Watt solar panel on the roof. Can anyone tell me what kind of amps this will charge into my coach batteries. I think in terms of amps since the batteries are rated in amp hours and I can tell how many amps my appliances pull. 20 Watt doesn't sound like much but it must help some.

I am brand new at RVing and am trying to learn.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

20 watts is small. Tops it would do a maybe 1.5 amps, with a daily net of about 5ah, under very good sun conditions. It will help some, but the safety monitors usually will use about that much to run, as a reference. With a gas frig, many would say that 100 watts is about where it starts to have a significant impact on off grid time. You would more than 100 watts is you use an inverter much.

.

Probably a trickle charger for the chassis battery while the RV is in storage.

Thanks Booster and BBQ. I certainly would not be able to go long without being plugged in. I was afraid of that but now I have some idea of what I need.
