Default Yes I'm A Class B Nerd

It's now official according to my DW.
From all the research and test drives we have done, I'm beginning to understand why the Coachmen product is the quietest driving Van we have driven.

They use this on both the Crossfit and Galleria as standard equipment!!

I chose a different product back in 2013 converting my van. Good for sound, good enough for heat insulation, it is hydrophobic so it doesn’t absorb water, and it was designed for mobile application. It is more expensive than glass or mineral fibers.

Mineral wool is good insulation, fireproof, durable, but I don't think I would use it in van because the vans don't breath the walls well enough because of steel or fiberglass skins. If the mineral wool gets wet, it won't really rot, but can generate mold or rot anything else around it, and will not readily dry without good airflow through it.

I would second using a non moisture absorbing product designed for these kinds of installations.
