A little bit about me

I’ve been asked more than once if I work in the RV industry or have any special connections.

I do not work in the RV industry and do not have any special connections.

I do really like my Class B RV and like to share information and generally be helpful. I have made at least 500 posts on RV.net’s forum and many posts on the Yahoo Roadtrek Group. I am markopolo on RV.net and markdesi2003 on the Yahoo Roadtrek Group.

I also like forums. I have made almost 2,000 posts under the username marko on www.be300.org which is Pocket PC related.

Sharing information about my interests is important to me. I learned so much from the internet and forums about RV’s and hope to pass some of that information on to other RVer’s.

How do you find the time for all this? You must be retired or something.

But it definitely helps you to do the fun stuff, if you are retired.

I have the option of retiring now but I have to keep working to pay the bills. My pension doesn't cover enough to live on. A lot of people in my job retire and then get another job. A job with a pension income works out quite nice. I'm still considering retirement and a part time job but I need 1.5 years more to maximize my pension. I keeps saying, I'm going to win the lottery and quit my job but I know better. Until then, I'll keep working.

I hear you on the subject of retirement income. Make no mistake, I'm not independently wealthy. Far from it.
I just decided the package offered was reasonable, I was pretty burned out after 31 years, and so I bailed at age 50.
So, we're living on some of our savings until we can start the CPP in a few more years. So far, it's working out.
Lottery win sounds good, but odds are against it. Still, I buy a ticket now and then.
I've been toying with the idea of a part time job for about a year now, but nothing part time really interests me,
so here I sit. I'd be doing it for fun, not necessarily for money, although a bit extra never hurts.
