Good point! Now that I think of it, when crawling underneath I didn't notice anything resembling a transfer case!

Mercedes makes using a 4x4 a drudgery; I want to shift and go! I have a Chevy Pickup and Lincoln Navigator, both 4x4 with over 200K miles, and the 4x4 gets used routinely, serviced regularly and yet to have a problem....bet that Mercedes sees Shop Time..."oh, you didn't do this or that..not covered."
