Default New guy from NJ

Hey all!

My Name is Dave.

I just joined this forum.

Having A Class B RV is where I'm headed, not where I currently am.

I picked up a 2003 Dodge LWB (127") Conversion Van.
Automatic, 5.2 (31, A/C front and Rear, Cruise, dual airbags, 4 wheel disc, ABS.

The unit has 103,000 miles on it. It is straight but has a fair amount of "Road Rash" on it.
Key chips, rock dings, sticks falling and of course some fading paint!

It has the low conversion high top, 14-16" or so. One cannot stand fully erect inside, there is but 61 1/2" of head room.

The clear coat on the Fiberglass is shot.

There are two rust spots just in front of the rear wheels.

All in all, I'm quite happy with it. I am thrilled that it does NOT have a reciever hitch on it, this tells me it was only a people hauler and not a cargo trailer hauler. This gives me hope for a gently used drive train.

At $2,500 I got a good buy.

Anyway, I'll post a build thread and share my ideas of where I Want to take this unit.

Thanks for looking!

Dave

I am liking it. You can arrange the inside however you like. It will make a great stealth camper van. Search youtube videos for ideas. (Stealth Van)

Stealth camping is the act of secretly camping in a public or private area (sometimes legally – sometimes illegally) and moving on the next morning without being detected.

Familiar with Stealth camping, thanks for defining it though.....

Yeah, that's my thought exactly. I can build to my needs.
Crude paper drawing (to scale) and post-it-note furnishings.

This is where I'm headed.......
