Default 1956 Citroen HY Van

While not exactly a B-van item the recent Discovery Channel "Wheeler Dealer" episode on refurbishing a 1956 Citroen HY van is a hoot! It is Season 12, Episode 16 originally aired in US on 9 March. Check this link for a short clip.
Wheeler Dealers ¬Ľ CitroŽn HY Van

It will likely rerun often on the Discovery Channel. The neat item is the use of top quality MasterVolt electrical components for battery powered inverter/charger system similar to what we all have in our B-van conversions.

I found it interesting that they had to get the installation checked by a master electrician before they could use it. I could imagine the cry of invasion on our freedom here in USA if we had to have our vehicle mods inspected like we do for building code compliance.

That was fun. I think I saw three clips about that van and would like to see the entire episode.

About the engine (it was replaced):

"..... loud, noisy, gutless, smelly... "

1200 mile oil change interval (no oil filter)

Yes, interesting that an electrical inspection was required. It was going to be sold as a commercial vehicle but it seemed like any DIY electrical work would require inspection.

What a lot of work! I'll watch it on a big TV later.

Thanks for finding the link to full episode. I deleted it from my DVR and then realized I'd like to watch it again.

I love the crimper he used on the heavy gauge cables. I've been thinking of putting together a steal frame to use my hit-with-a-hammer crimp tool with a bottle jack.
