Default announcement taken down

Replying to my own post! Weirdly, Winnebego removed the 3 year limited warranty info from their web site. Maybe they changed their mind, or just didn't want to slow end-of-2019 model sales? Will be interesting to see if they do introduce it for all 2020 B models. I thought it was potentially good news, given the Roadtrek/Hymer debacle.

They probably had that page setup before the RT/HC fiasco. They probably read it and thought, "Remove that part, we don't have to worry about the longer RT or HC warranties anymore"...

Thats the saddest part about all this - less competition, less innovation, higher prices..

I wasn't able to find it as you stated that they removed it. Keep in mind, though, that the Promaster chassis portion (provided by FCA) has a 3/36,000 warranty so maybe that's what was intended and not properly stated I'll certainly be looking for it if it reappears though.

On Travato FB they have confirmed that the longer house warranty will be in effect for the 2020 model year. Perhaps they took the info down from the specs page because they have not announced the 2020 model yet.

As far as the promaster warranty, WGO has a fleet arrangement with FCA and the fleet warranty from FCA is 5/100,000.

Default Boldt too?

Wish I'd have taken a screen shot of the graphic. It was definitely for the RV build, not the FCA chassis. It included language along the lines of "Class-leading" or "Industry Best" Limited Warranty, so it was clear that this was conceived and posted after Roadtrek/Hymer went into receivership. Neil from Ultramobilty reported seeing the same warranty info for the new Boldt when it was first announced, see that video here if you haven't yet: https://youtu.be/1AmMJsFeJUY

Hopefully it will still be officially announced and included, but we shall see, perhaps soon too...

Probably soon. Someone please correct me if they know more, but I think they like to get new year models in even before the summer season begins. Colonial RV's website shows every single inbound model as a 2020 https://www.colonialrv.com/winnebago...rt-by=&status=

and a couple of Revel 4x4s are even pending sale (not surprising)

Unfortunately the biggest change every year seems to be a another price increase

The manufacturer web sites are usually the best way to see what's new. Lichtsinn's is also a good site to watch for new inventory, since they're just so close to the factory https://www.lichtsinn.com/new-rvs-for-sale
They usually do lengthy videos on new features when they get new models

fyi 2019 models, dealer's invoice cost is around 35% under msrp

Thanks again for the info. You’re right the biggest change may be a price increase. I’ll watch Lichtsinn for new info.

Default Any updates?

I'm hopeful that this rumor of a 3 year warranty will turn out to be true. Warranty info that used to be spelled out clearly on Winnebago's site (12 month, 15,0000 miles) in the older spec sheets, now says 'see dealer for complete warranty information'. As someone speculated earlier, it's probably to not squash sales of older model 'new' vehicles if they are extending the term on late models.

Turns out that the information on the Travato Facebook page was an untrue rumor. The 2020 Travato retains the 1 year warranty. One of the things i have learned about RV warranties is that they aren't worth as much as one might think because there are often long wait times to getting an appointment at facilities authorized to do warranty work and too often the quality of repairs at these places is not that good.

Thanks.. looks like the warrantee on the 2020 Trovato remains the same as the 2019 . How about any changes to the 2020 Trovato compared to the 2019 model ?

There were no changes from the end of year 2019 model to the current version of the 2020 except that for the L models, the Volta system now indicates if the batteries are too cold or hot.

Thanks for answering that. Hopefully they think there is not much to improve on. Love the Travato.

Actually there are things to improve and WGO knows about it. They have put a special edition model called the National parks edition that includes the quieter and more efficient NDQ air conditioner, sumo springs, and some other differences. Many thought that these items would be on the 2020s but no such luck. Perhaps they will release a 2020.5 model with these changes, perhaps they will be included on the 2021s. We don't know as yet.

Thanks again for the info. I guess there’s always something to improve on. And those improvements sound great. I hope they add them in the future.
