Default Anybody have a wobbly seat in a classic Dodge?

My driver and passenger seat are wobbly (RT Dodge 2000). I think there is far too much play with a thick washer that is part of the swivel mechanism.

Anybody else have have "wobbly" or "rockin'" seats?

Any solutions?

I am thinking a machinist can fabricate replacement washers that fit correctly.

Any machinists in this group?

Our seats are firmly seated in our 1999 American Cruiser on a Dodge van chassis.

Hi.
My 1997RT has seats with a little bit of play in them.....
Yeah probably wobbly,just sounds bad.
But they seem to be firmly bolted.
I think for me the amount of time and trouble would not be worth the gain.
Easy way to do it would be to replace the seats.
Easy,not inexpensive.
I believe another fix could be to weld the mechanism solid.
You would still have movement towards and away from the wheel. But would lose the ability to swivel.
I actually have come to like the movement....kinda like driving in a rocking chair lol.
Cheers
Eddie

I have a 2000 RT 190V and have the same issue, a little play in the swivel. Does anybody know if these seats are made by Dodge or by Roadtrek? I am trying to replace the broken and worn drivers side seat cushion but can't find one like it and in particular nothing in that Auqua or Teal color???

If you weld the swivel mechanism how are you going to rotate rearward to dine?

Mine are a tad wobbly. Mine's a 1996 Dodge. I took the driver's chair off a couple weeks ago for a good cleaning. When I put it back on I found that if I tighten that center nut nice and tight the slight wiggle-wobble went away. And yeah, then the chair wouldn't rotate.

So, I managed to loosen it enough to allow it to rotate with only a minor wobble. I found that you should make it tighter than you think because they're easier to rotate when you're sitting in them.

Yep my drivers seat was bad every time you hit the brakes the seat tipped forward. But I think my problem was not in the pedestal mine seemed to be in the seat rails themselves. I don't use the seat by the door so I swapped it out with the drivers and that fixed it. I still have the pedestal but I don't think that's what you need.
