bad econemy and people having to live in vehicles

i wonder how many people are having to live in vans and vehicles because of the bad econemy and losing their places to live ? i know that in ca. their was a thing about a parking lot where they were letting women only stay in the lot in their cars at night since they had no place to live . i have had to live in a car in the past and its not easy so later on when i got a ford high top camper van i thought i was in heaven with all the room !!
