Default Black Water Tank Fabrication?

Informed by the Roadtrek tech that my black water tank is leaking at the valve, which has been previously repaired. They suspect a crack in the tank and because its a 94, a new tank may need to be fabricated.

Has anyone out there had to have a tank fabricated?? Just looking for a place to start. It's a 12 gallon tank...

Consider having it fabricated out of metal if no other options. All the tanks in my van were fabricated from stainless steel by the original owner.

I should add that you might have difficulty finding tank level sensors for metal tanks. There are none on my van and it turns out I do just fine without them.

Boats often require a lot of special sizes or custom fabrication. You might also check marine suppliers for (1) polyethelene holding tanks (what you usually find on boats) - many ready-made sizes and configurations out there. (2) if you need a metal tank fabricated (SS) there are many marine fabricators out there.

There are ways to fix a crack in your tank. I'm assuming it's ABS. You will need to remove it but it can be "welded" or a patch can be applied.
