Default CHEAP but GOOD Classs B Insurance

I picked up a campervan and was told because it is an RV, I can get RV insurance cheaper than regular insurance. What is a good insurance company and how much per year can I expect to pay?

Thanks

Charlie

Default Class B Insurance for 6 months $171. Good price?

I am in new jersey. Picked up an older camper van and was given a price of $171 for 6 months of insurance as long as I do not drive it more than 30 days. I do not know how they will be able to tell if I drive 31 or more days but either way, is that a good price? I got it through Geico.

That's less than a $1 per day - I don't think it can cost much less than that. Are you happy with the limits? Does it just cover damage / injury to others or is there some coverage on your van too?

What would they charge you for full year, unlimited driving?
I pay around $700/year (in Canada) for full coverage and unlimited driving. Aviva is the underwriter.
I think in the USA Progressive also insures RVs, and there are probably lots more. Some of the emergency road service companies also offer RV insurance. You could check with them, AAA, Good Sam ERS, Coach-Net, Escapees. I'm sure there are more.
