Cockpit view was pretty standard Ford Transit. Nothing much to show there. Only the passenger seat swivels.

In the Paseo, they adjusted the height of the bed above the floor so that it didn't intersect with some frame rails. That bought them an extra couple inches on each side. It didn't seem that had been done in the Crossfit. Perhaps they'll adjust.

What's really strange is the the Winnebago Paseo, another Ford Transit Class B, also has a bed that goes across the back. Winnebago gives its measurement as 72" long (See the attached Paseo floorplan). Does the interior paneling in the CrossFit take up 3.5 to 4 inches on each side? If not, where did the extra space go?
I agree... looked great until he got into the bed and the table storage. Could be tight even for someone 6.0' tall like me. I would have to check it out. Too bad really because that layout can fit lengthwise beds within a 22 foot long chassis. We had one on a MB T1 Sprinter VistaCruiser... exact layout except the beds went the long way.

Regarding table storage... we had that on the Vista Cruiser.. with the table under that raised portion in the dinette area. Total PITA to get out when it's raining... at night with bugs... etc. Wasnt a huge deal for us because we didn't use the table much and the table wasnt needed to make the beds. However the CrossFit requires the table to make the bed... every time you get it out of storage you have to go outside and open the rear doors...

I guess I am finding it hard to see any advantages to the CrossFit vs the Paseo but I guess if the price is significantly less it might get buyers...

In the video it looks pretty good. Much bigger/deeper cabinets than Paseo, also the quality of the cabinetry is better. Not sure I dig the bathroom - would like to see a flip down sink, or the sink deleted or much smaller. Not sure what they are doing with the passenger seat, as we don't see anything in the video. Hopefully it spins around and there is a fold up table.

As some of you have noticed, the bed is not as wide. WGO did some contoured interior panels to get a little more room. This will be a deal killer for many. I'd like to see them do whatever WGO did, or add the exterior bump-outs you see on the Avion.

Coachmen is not using AGM batteries for some reason. The cost savings a miniscle, so it's a head scratcher. One of their people told me that people destroy their batteries in a couple years anyways, so they went with the cheaper batteries. Dumb in my view. Easy change out though if you get a good deal on the van. You can keep the converter/charger, it should adjust automagically.

Saw a couple things there that will make it cheaper, but none are big reductions except deleting the EcoBoost. That's about a $1200.00 cut give or take.
No convection microwave, and resulting having to design and implement the venting required there. Minor cost saving.
Seat/bed covering, no Ultraleather.
That cabinetry has to add some of that saving back though. Nice....

Biggest mistake I see is why did they not take that driver's side bath wall on up to the usual placement behind the seat, making the whole module slide forward to allow a longer left side bed?? Maybe plumbing issues....

As was stated earlier. Don't see why they can't make those beds longer for a twin application. The T1N Sprinter had them. And that not being able to access the rear storage from the inside is a BIG miscue. Hopefully that's not their final setup there.

No ecoboost is a very big mistake and will defy most customer's expectations.

Yes, the passenger seat swivels. The driver's seat does not.

The beds and layout are EXACT TO THE TEE in the Paseo and CrossFit. The bed has been my sole concern. I'm 5'9", but the time you put a residential pillow below or behind your head a tad, the crown of your head and the heels of your feet are hitting either side. What confuses me the units are 22' in length. The Travato's, Zion's, Lexor's are all shorter, so where is all the space being used up? I love the Transit Platform, no doubt. I especially love what both companies have done, with the exception of the bed. Seems like they can consider a better alternative, that will accommodate more people of various heights, than not?

I believe the EcoBoost has twin turbo's, and Coachmen thought that is just another point of replacement possibilities. Turbo's work, however at a cost. Do you know anything inferior about the 3.7l?

No, just the lack of power in a 9500 vehicle. It does have the 6 spd and a 4.10 axle, so takeoff shouldn't be a problem.
However, acceleration at speed will be an issue.
Personal opinion, the choice of 3.7 is to meet a price point, not isues later.
The 3.5 Ecoboost is a twin turbo.one on each side

Love the coach part, hate the chassis. Too many issues, and lots of hassle and expense to get them fixed. Waiting for a Transit alternative...

Haven't paid much attention to the "M". Murphy beds don't do anything for us as we leave the bed set up all the time. I will say that there's way too much coach area given up to the bathroom part.
And I wouldn't have an RV with a slide either, let alone a class B. Winnebago wasn't having any luck selling the "C" model at all. Only one per week was being built the last year or so...

Default WooHoo! EcoBoost

Was just notified by a dealer in Tampa that his first Eco-Boost Crossfit just arrived.
Now if they can figure out how to wedge in the Xantrex lithium from the Galleria I'd be a, um, happy camper..

If you really want it,
IF YOU REALLY REALLY WANT IT,

it will be cheaper (and faster) if you buy the Crossfit as is,
then take it to a solar/lithium specialist and have the lithium installed.

You will have to rip out the AGM, but that's not a lot of money.
You can probably put the parts up on craigslist and recoup some of the money.

The total cost will definitely be cheaper than an option from CM.

Coachmen isn't merely a Xantrex customer. They are in a partnership with them and if the Li3 option proves to be a marketing success I have little doubt that they will expand this option to both the Crossfit and the Forest River line.

As you point out, a Transit Corssfit with a lithium bank and a high power inverter would be a potent combination and IMO could make a good dent in the B market.
