Default Cut furniture in half?

Years ago I made a TV, DVD, VCR, cable box stand out of pine. It fit into an armoire in the bedroom and its primary purpose was to raise the height of the TV.
I never applied a finish to it because it was in the armoire.
Anyway, I dragged this item across the country but didn't have a use for it in our new house.

So I got to thinking that a hutch was needed in our office............

The TV, DVD, VCR, cable box stand was 20 inches wide and glued together. I ran the sides and top through a table saw and used a reciprocating saw to cut the other bits..........
Then, a belt sander made it all look OK.

I cut it in half and will stack one piece on top of the other.

I have to finish it to match the pine in the office but I am pleased to finally use it
