In a little over a year we've taken a 6200 mile trip, a 3700 mile trip, a 2700 mile trip and a couple of 600 mile trips - so, to answer the Poll's question, I'd say:

"The majority of my destinations are more than one days drive away"

We have been rv'en for over 25 years and now we use the rule of (3). 300 miles or 3pm which ever comes first, we shut it down and have a very quite evening. Up dat day's activities on computer and download pix. (may even have a cocktail if mood is right)
Now that we are getting older we may modify the rule of (3) , 200 miles or 3pm. Just start later in the morning. When your my age if you need to be some place just start a few day's sooner.

I have seen most everything local so my trips must take me farther out. Eventually I plan one some very long ones like traveling the country but I think I will have to wait for retirement for that. Work just keeps getting in the way but without it there would be lack of money.

I think the "Rule of 3" is a good idea. I've just finished my first season of "B-ing" and learned that trying to do too much ruins the fun of it. As a consequence of misadventure I once drove for over 13 hours, and promise not to do that again! If you start early and have fun fooling around on the way, it's good to ahve time to set up and relax in the afternoon, say around 3!
