Default few questions on conversion 98’ E150 460 v8 club wagon

platform for bed. can I screw 2x4’s into the floor? how do I know what's under there.
can I see from underneath.

I can use some of the holes from where I'm taking out seat brackets I guess.

What is the minimum comfortable height from top of mattress to ceiling?

Recommend Porta Potty (no holding tank). Portable Propane stove. Low amp portable A/C

Propane grill (easy to store). Will Honda 2000 run A/C Going to put in 50 amp. and large Thule
roof box.

Most DIYers cover the whole floor with plywood and build from there. You could use big plastic storage tubs and lay bed on that. It comes out perfect height. Portapotti I recommend the Thetford Curve but you may want shorter. Don't go cheap on the portapotti or you'll end up buy another before long. I like the portable stove with grill. Works great. Gotta go. More later.

As your planning for a bed, I assume you'll be using the van for extended periods. That requires insulation both from heat or cold.
What I did is filled the ribs on the floor with strips of insulation plus a layer of 1/2in Styrofoam on top. That covered with 1/2in plywood and attached to the floor.
The bed posts again attached to the plywood.
You don't have to use 2x4's and can go much smaller, in my van I used 1-1/4 x 1-1/4in (but more of them) and that is still going strong.

I have a low roof Dodge B-250 and use a small porto potti. Wanted to store the potti under the bed, so calculated the plywood bottom of the bed to be slightly higher than the potti, probably about 2-1/2in. Add about 6-8in for the foam mattress, which comes to just below the windows. More than sufficient room left above the bed.

I'm not into A/C's and generators, so I cannot really help you with that.
