Thanks for posting the new video.

Interestingly, while the updated PW website states that the seats don't swivel due to the addition of the thorax airbags on the 2016 PW Ascent And he makes no mention of swiveling as they did in the 2015 video), at about 13:25 in this video you can see that the front passenger seat is swiveled around to face the rear! Now, when he walks up to the front cab at 14:07, it's turned back around facing the front. So, it may be a 2016 PW Ascent, but my guess it is not a 2016 MB.

Good eye. I didn't pick up on that. I think you are probably right, it's a 2015 Chassis (like the one we ordered). The timing of the video along with the last few 2015 Chassis that were in the factory would support your theory.

FYI - A new member just bought a PW 2016 Lexor and says they have swivel seats now, even though PW site says no to swivels.

Historically you could almost assume a 2016 conversion model would have a 2015 chassis starting out. As they get deeper in the model year they will probably use 2016 chassis and thus adhere to new laws.

It appears if you can't swivel a seat in a 2500 Class B you will severely hamper their versatility.

Agree. It will be interesting to see if it has any effect on sales. RT shows the Agile like the photo below; guess that nice "swivel the seats around and have coffee in the am at the pull-out table" option is no more. What's the point of the pull-out table now?

I gotta think that there's a work-around for anyone that buys the 2016 2500 Chassis. There has always been aftermarket swivels for seats, and with some ingenuity it must be possible. Having said that, swivels are probably about $300 a piece and will entail a few head-scratching moments on how to get them installed/wiring length, etc.

True, but first time buyers may not be that savvy and will simply walk away.

Yes, you are absolutely right. When we initially heard that the 2016 MB 2500 Chassis did not have swivel seats we definitely started looking at alternatives.
