Default Just purchased a 1993 Chevy G30 coachman

Hey everyone!I just purchased a 1993 Chevy Coachman g30. She had been sitting for a while it I got a great deal for her. $750 total, with about $2,900 in repairs needed. I love the layout, but I知 planning on doing a complete renovation. I値l be rippijg out all the crappy blue interior rug, tearing down the bathroom and fridge areas for a dedicated bed, and taking out the gold down bed that is right in the doorway and making that a desk. I値l be lining it all with cedar!

Does anyone have any opinions on these vehicles? I知 looking for renovations pages for this specific type but can稚 find any....

Sorry, I don't know much about those but look foward to you posting pictures of your project. I did a image google search on those RV's and they look pretty cool.

Hi Tom, we just bought a 1993 Coachman 19RB, paid a lot more for it than you did for yours! Ours is in excellent conditon with 120,000 miles. Does yours have the extra sleeping area over the cab? Ours does. When we were shopping one came on the market which had a fiberglass roof, rear dinette/sleeping and extra row of captains chairs. It had no shower and lower headroom so we opted for the rear bath model.

I壇 love to share renovation ideas. I知 curious about your new layout, can you tell us more about it?

Like you, we will be ripping out that disgusting blue carpet ASAP! Ditto the blue curtains! Will be deciding between stick down vinyl plank vs. floating for the floor behind the cab. I found a spray dye that can be used to recolor the seats, headliner and carpet in the cab. It also works on vinyl. Down the road the dated oak cabinets will likely be repainted as well.

(FYI - one of the previous owners of ours was apparently a mechanic so we have 3 huge technical manuals, should you need info.)
