Laptop Battery Recall

Sony, who's batteries are used in a number of brands of laptops, is recalling some of them. Ya might wanna check. See here:

oh oh - we've got 3 laptops - 2 Toshibas and a Compaq.

The Wife uses the Compaq mostly - I just checked and the 2 Toshibas are "ok" - but the Compaq is "on the list".

I've printed the Compaq "contact number" and will let her make the call - to see "what's next"

We have Apple Macs and they aren't on the list. A few years ago some Macs did have a battery recall but we lucked out on that one as well.
