Default Looking for a swivel seat base adapter for 2006 Chevy

I'm looking for a swivel seat base adapter for a 2006 Chevy Express.

I can easily find them for Sprinters but can't find them for a late model Chevy. Does anyone know of a source for these?

I have one for the passenger side. I bought it for my 1999 Chevy from Sportsmobile when I had a pop top installed. It might fit your van. I sold my van 4 years ago, but still have the swivel seat base. To install it, you bolt it in place of the existing base. It uses the same bolts.

I didn't like it for 2 reasons. Its rotation was restricted by the puffy paneling on the door and it just didn't feel solid. I ended up putting the original base back in. If you flatten the door paneling, its rotation might be unrestricted.

If you come to So Cal, you're welcome to take it and try it. Because of its weight, it would cost a lot of $ to ship, but right now, it's just taking up space in a storage cabinet.

Thanks for the info and offer to try it.

I had a response from one of the companies I emailed. They are working on a swivel base for Chevy's and will let me know when they are available. I will post that info here as soon as I get it

Would you mind measuring the distance between the mounting holes on your swivel base for me?

Does the seat still slide with the swivel base?

Mounting the base did not require any drilling. The holes in the swivel base were the same as those in the factory van.

These are the measurements for bolting the base to the floor. There are four 0.75" diameter holes, one on each corner. The spacing from side to side is 12.875" and it is 11.75" from front to back.

There are four 0.50" holes on the top to bolt the factory seat to the base. For these holes, the spacing from side to side is 14.125" and it is 13.25" from front to back.

The sliding mechanism is built into the seat, so seat worked exactly like it did on the factory base.

Thanks for taking the time to measure it for me. I think it is the same.

I sent you an email.

I got an email from http://www.discountvantruck.com

Mark,

The swivel base adapters are set up now. They are listed on http://www.discountvantruck.com/rvva...tseatbases.htm

I should have pictures on them in a few days. They are an 1 1/2" swivel and can be ordered for either with stock or after market bolt in set-ups.
