Default Manually operate the power sofa

My wife would like me to be prepared in the event our power sofa/bed fails while on the road. Has anyone operated the mechanism manually? Ours is a 2008 Roadtrek Adventurous RS

not specific to yours- my Pal's went out and the "fix" required disconnecting the 2 motors from the underneath through the rear opening- each motor was - I think- held in place with 3 bolts. once the motors were removed, the sofa was free to move- down is easy. if you want it to stay up, reinstall the motors (mating the gears) to hold it in the sofa position.

trouble shooting would be checking that you have 12 volt power to the switches and motors. depending on build there may be a couple of fuses or breakers controlling power and possibly relays controlled by the switches.

by tracing down how it works now- while it is all working, you can formulate a plan

Mike to the rescue again!
Thanks for the fast reply, Mike. I thought it might be as simple as disconnecting the motor- knowing its easy to move to a bed setup if broken will help avoid late-night meltdowns
