Default Maxx Air Fan electrical issue

Hello,

I installed my Maxx Air fan deluxe in my Van. It is wired to a fuse box connected to the load out of the Renogy 40a mppt controller. When I wire the fan up, the controller reads E4 for shorting. I tested the fan directly to the auxilary battery and it works fine. I also tested the wires for the fan with a light and the light works fine through the controller. When I wire in the fan, it give a mini beep and the controller reads the error. I'm not sure why the fan will not work with the controller. If it only draws 5amps, it should work fine. Has anyone else dealt with this issue? Thanks in advance.

It was resolved! the Mppt controller was set to 24 volts on the load out and it was shorting the fan. I set it to 12 volts and Voila!
