new exhaust

I have a 1989 Dodge xplorer 228 camper van and I'd like to replace the entire exhaust, pipes and muffler, would I get the pipes and muffler for a B350 van or is everything routed differently because it's a camper van so I'd need customization's?

It should be stock.

The pipe routing cannot easily altered. There are heat shield and other components to consider. It will get too expensive for the upfitter to mess with, they would rather work around it than to change it.

The most they could change is the very last tail section.

My exhaust in my 93 B350 Pleasure Way was identical to stock

I have a 1985 Xplorer 228 (love it)
The Exhaust is stock but there are some things to consider mentioning. Be mindful that on these 228's the terminus of the exhaust system is very close to the dump valves and their associated components. The heat from the exhaust has never been a problem for the plastic items for me personally but I have seen some heat damage or down right melting on others with similar routing and clearance. Just keep that in mind when planning your replacement.

Now more importantly...lets see a picture of that beauty!! Classic Xplorer's are daaaang sexy!

I'm pretty sure it has the catalytic converter on it, the exhaust seems to have a hole close to the front of the van. The van only has 64k miles on it

Ours is a 1995 Dodge Xplorer. The exhaust is all original. I noted when we bought the csmper. The exhaust had burned a hole in the shower drain.

great this is all good to know, how about the struts on the same vehicle? are they standard or extra heavy duty because of the weight of the camper? or maybe I should just get all heavy duty to be safe?
