Default Onan Remote Start Wiring Info

I have an Onan Microlite 2.8KV with the remote start panel, but the wires going into the remote panel have become disconnected. If there is anyone out there with the same setup, I wonder if you might be able to take a photo of the connections and post it here -- I just need to know what color wires go where. I contacted Onan, but what they sent me was way too technical for me to make sense of. Any assistance would be hugely appreciated!

Was the info from Onan in a email that you could send to me or post here?

Hopefully someone here can help. I haven't looked at the wiring of two remote switches I had but they were very different so I suspect the wiring was different (and probably the wire colors). One had an indicator light and you used the switch to prime the generator. The other just has what looks to be a simple momentary rocker switch. But both were Onan 4000's if I recall correctly, not a 2800 like yours.

Your Onan is in a Falcon 190 right? What year?

Yes, it's a 1992 Falcon 190 (Ford chassis). I'm attaching the PDF file Cummins/Onan sent me. Let me know if it makes any sense to you! My remote start panel has the rocker switch and odometer, if that matters, and is apparently made by Esco.

Thanks!

wow, I don't know what I expected to see but it wasn't that

Looks to me like there is 4 wires: in to the switch, out of the switch, ground & hour meter but you would already know that.

There are some really smart members here and I'm hoping they catch this post.

Glad I'm not the only one who's intimidated by that file!

A guy at Cummins recently sent me a screen grab of the page in the installation manual that shows a "typical" setup. It's a little more approachable than the other diagram, but still doesn't tell me what colored wires go where...

I wonder if you can get any help on http://www.intervecphoenix.org ?

Can you trace the wires back to the gen?

Try sending a PM (message) through this forum to member Brian. According to this post - viewtopic.php?f=26&t=300&p=5567#p5567 - he installed a genset in his Falcon.
