Default Opinions on buying used

My wife and I am planning on buying a Class B and think that used may be the way to go due to the cost savings. Do any owners of these use them as a 2nd vehicle for driving at home year round. The model we are looking at is a 2010 RoadTrek Popular 190 for $69,995.00 What would be a good or decent price to pay for this unit. its at a local large dealer. This will be our first RV purchase experience. Any things to look out for, I am assuming the dealer with safety the unit.

06Honda,
That Roadtrek looks like a nice unit. For comparison, last year I bought a used 2010 Leisure Travel Van Free Spirit on MercedesBenz Sprinter, about 65,000 km in excellent condition for about that price from a small used RV dealer. Since that Roadtrek has higher mileage and is on a Chevy chassis, the price seems high. Good luck getting your B.

Welcome aboard. Have you checked out www.roadtrekinternational.com for the used vehicles. I say this since your buying direct from an owner, who will know and be more honest with you than a dealer...IMHO. I had a 190 before moving to a 210. I am a Chevy guy, and they are excellent performers; another thing, be it a small or large town, you can find parts, or a shop that can repair it.

I'm not sure what 'cost savings' exactly you think you'll get... or what you're buying a Class B instead of, but ere's a couple of comps in the US... $69,995 CAD is about $51k USD... so it's priced competitively.

Quite frankly, you'll find a LOT of small Class C mohos out there for half the cost of a b-van for similar age, condition, and mileage.

I used mine when my primary vehicle was broke down. Doesn't sound like much but it did take about 3 months.
