Default Patio light lens replment

I need to find a lens replacement for the patio light on my 2000 Roadtrek 190. Old one disintegrated. Can’t find manufacturer in my literature. Hate to just plug it up. Any thoughts? Pic is 90 d rotated left.

I'd go to amazon and search "rv porch light" and see what comes up. Might find a lens but more likely complete units. I've been thinking about replacing mine with a LED motion sensing light.

You could also take the light body off the RV and see if the mfg is listed on the back. Then search for the company. Sometimes parts are available for items that old.

Still, someone with your model RV might respond that has more detailed info. Good luck.

Thank you Gallen for your suggestions. I haven’t explored replacement yet as those seem to be rivets and not screws. May be an easy replacement if I can pop it out. I’ll see what Amazon has but hopefully I’ll eventually find the manufacturer. . Thanks again.

Don't be afraid to replace with a new porch light. Most are surface mount and you may not even have to remove the old one if you can pull enough wire out to connect a new one. However, if you need to remove the rivets, they can usually be removed by drilling them out. Not too hard.

Thanks. Good advise. I also think I can get to the back of it through the panels in he toilet cabinet. Going to try drilling rivets 1st tho.

You should be able to drill out the rivets as rowiebowie mentioned. If you are replacing with another light chances are that the holes will be in a different place but that's not a problem unless the new light is smaller and it leaves the holes exposed. So measure the original light and make sure the new one is the same size or larger. If the new light does not have a gasket, you'll probably want to buy butyl sealing tape. Easy to use. I've used it when replacing electrical door that went bad and broke off. If the new light comes with metal screws, I'd make sure that they're stainless steel and if not replace them with SS ones at your local hardware store. I always solder electrical connections and heat shrink them but I'm not sure that it's necessary.

Gallen makes an excellent point. You want to cover the old holes completely.

An exact replacement is available. Amazon has it as do others. I do not have the link handy.

Wow, $18 bucks for a lens cover!

But worth it for an easy fix, I guess.

Default Porch light

The porch light on my RT is identical to yours. The light output was so feeble I replaced it with an LED lamp that is angled down 45*.
Now I have light "wall to wall and treetop tall". Later I added 2 shorter ones on the drivers side. Perfect for hooking up in poor light or seeing in the slide out drawers.
