Default Pleasure-Way

I've made up my mind. When I do finally buy a class b it will be pleasure-way, because they have no slide outs. I like what I see in the new Plateau XL TD from Pleasure-Way.

Well, you aren't buying a Class B at all. That is a Class C.

The only Class B with a slide-out is the Winnebago Era 170C.

a C is a "box" added to a cutaway chassis ( which could be a camper, ambulance or a rental truck)...while B is generally a "capped" van.

we love our PW they are built well.

It is a Class B only if they are lying to you, and they are.

Not even close.

Pleasure Way creates the confusion among newbies right on the website...

"Wide body Class B Motorhome built on a Mercedes Benz Chassis"

Pleasure-Way Plateau XL

Leisure Travel no longer builds any Class B units. Their small C's sell so well, that they had to remove a few things from their line-up. First they stopped the Chevy based B, and then they dropped the Sprinter B. IMHO, they build the best small Class C units. I like their new Transit unit (which has replaced the Libero in their line-up)

BTW, when Triple E purchased Leisure travel some years ago, they insisted on incorrectly calling their small Class C's a "B." I nagged and ribbed them about it the whole time I owned my Libero. Probably not from me, but they have finally started correctly calling all their units properly as Class C in the last year.

I notice they still show the Libero on their website, have they already stopped making it or have they just announced it will be replaced by the Transit Wonder?

That Transit Wonder has a very Australian Caravan looking interior, unlike the European Caravans. Our Motorhomes are similar

Those are nice.

Leisure Travel seems to me to be making a good move with the Wonder, a lower priced model which should appeal to a wider customer base. They are keeping the quality high with newer interior materials that are likely lighter weight but still attractive and durable. Some clever design elements.

There are a few shortcomings with the Transit vs the Sprinter at the moment but they seem to have worked around them. No swivel driver's seat is available due to the parking brake location and the cutaway Payload capability is 1000+ lbs less than the Sprinter so compromises are needed to accommodate. Ford is likely to fix the seat issue and higher GVWR will likely come along eventually. I would also like it if there was the EcoBoost gasoline engine option but Ford is currently only offering the diesel and base gasoline engines on the cutaway chassis.

I picked up the dropping of the Libero as gossip on the net and no idea when it might happen. It came from a relatively dependable source, but not directly from the factory. But with the new Wonder, it seems a sensible move... and the Libero wasn't a huge seller.

I don't know if you noticed that the Wonder will be at an RV show in Phoenix in March.

It's official now. The 2016 Libero is still on their website, but in their 2017 Product Update brochure in the Serenity section it lists the Libero under "Discontinued". Not really a surprise, since the Wonder seemed positioned to replace it.
