Default Pleasure Way Parts

Hi and help,
PW owners; who are you buying your Pleasure Way parts from? Specifically I want to replace the worn out non-skid step plates on the fiberglass running boards of my 2008 Lexor. I contacted PW and they said to get it from a dealer and gave me a huge list to choose from.

I live in California but no where near a dealer and since they will have to ship I thought of asking if you have a favorite dealer you purchase from. Or if I should stay away from a bad experience.

Or, if you have a suggestion for an after market solution.

Thanks, keep on rollin', Jim

What you are after is anti-skid self adhesive tape. Home Depot has it but the roll is 20 yards long, not sure if they sell it any shorter.

Here is a link to Amazon for a resonable length and price:
https://www.amazon.com/Slip-Guard-No...gateway&sr=8-4

Hope this helps.
John from California too.

Thanks John,
That will work if I can't find OEM.

A good way to buy that stuff in small quantities is to look for rubber "stair treads" at Home Depot.

I bought the slip guard from Ace Hardware and was able to buy it by the foot. They had 1" and 2", I believe you need 1 1/2" wide.

I used a heat gun to make it easier to remove the original slip guard and cut down the 2" wide material down to 1 1/2". I found I had to break off the blade after every 2 cuts. It turned out really well, you can't even tell I cut it down.

I have been particularly annoyed with PW lately. I have a 2002 Traverse and it needed new struts for the pop-top. My OEMs were made by Normont but PW told my dealer they had no idea what to do as they weren't made anymore. I contacted Normont who was able to provide an exact replacement to me directly.

Same issue with the pop-top tent. I called the dealer, they called PW, and they told the dealer it would have to be custom made. The dealer had no idea about how to install it.

These are great rigs but PW seems to have fallen down bigtime with helping to maintain their older rigs.

I also had to replace the traction tape on my steps but that was an easy find at one of the big box hardware stores.
