Default Power door lock questions

I don't have power door locks on my '97 GMC Savana as far as I know.
No keyfob, no power door lock switch on the doors.
I do have power windows.

Here's the strange part. On two occasions we've unlocked both cab doors by using the key in one of the cab doors. At least we think we did. It happens so fast. It is one of those "How did you do that" moments. It is not repeatable though.

First question is - Is that even possible?

Sometime when I unlock a door with the key I hear a whirring sound for about a second or so. It has me wondering if maybe there are some lock actuators in the doors.

Second question is - If there are actuators in the doors can I get a fob or use the existing actuators somehow?
