Default Propane Fridge ?

For those of you who have a propane powered fridge I have a question.
When you turn the propane on do you get a faint odor of propane around the back of the fridge where the gas tubing connects to the fridge?

I've got a Norcold 3-way fridge and when I turn on my propane tank I get a very, very faint odor of propane when I stick my nose right down near the connection at the back of the fridge. No big stink inside or even outside around the vent, just right around the fitting at the back of the fridge. I've fired up the fridge and the odor doesn't go away or get worse. Anyone else ever experience this when they run their propane fridge?

I've never noticed that with my Dometic fridge.

I don't know for sure if that is normal or not but I don't think it is. Can you get to it and spray or brush a soapy water solution (hand soap and water) on the connections to check for a leak?

I left that out of my first post. I have leak tested the fittings and can't seem to get my soap and water mix to bubble up making me think I don't have a leak. But my nose tells me something ain't quite right. I didn't think there should be any gas odor, but have never owned or been around a propane powered fridge. Guess I'll have to keep investigating...

Problem is my flare fittings. I can get one end of the gas line connected and tighten properly where it won't leak, but I have problems when I hook up the other end (usually at an appliance).

Over flaring my flare fittings. Problem solved, new skill learned.
