Default RAM tough?

This is no way to park an RV. But looks like after you cleaned up the poo, you'd just need to buff out a few marks!

Who else does this kind of testing?

I appreciate that Winnebago did the test. I'm not convinced it is a real-world situation, however. Side impact, frontal impact, rear impact are more likely scenarios than a squared-off impact from the top. I guess those scenarios just aren't as photogenic.

I think it shows you they build a tough box - one that should hold up well for many years.
And you could surmise that it should hold somewhat together in an accident.

But a real highway accident/rollover would be a mess, as would any RV.

I'll bet though, that even this light test, this RV is totaled. Each side wall near the cab was over-stressed and cracked and would require replacement - thus too costly to do.

Did they do a video to show what happened on the inside? Or perhaps they were just testing the body/frame/exterior...

Not that I found. Most likely everything inside was torn loose, or they would have shown it!

This frame is right at about the point where the forces are the greatest.

Doors, windows, compartment doors, awning etc. are all intact.
