Default Rear Couch Question

Are the rear forward facing folding couch units bolted to the frame of the van? Would you strap your child or grandchild in one? I see the Zion has 3-point seat belts but, no head rest. Is it possible to add a DIY headrest that would be safe for passengers?

Yes, they appear to be bolted to the frame. I thought about rolling up a memory foam bed topper when not in use for sleeping, and use it as a headrest.
