Default Removing duct tape residue; installing a macerator 2004 RT

Hello - I had to duct tape the rubber strip on my B and just had it fixed. They couldn't get all the residue off. Any suggestions? Also has any one had luck in installing a macerator on a 2004 Roadtrek? As a widow, I can't get down on my knee replacements to empty the tanks and put the hose back in.

Thanks.

As for the residue of duct tape, I've had luck with GOO GONE and if careful you can use lacquer thinner, but be careful

As to getting down on one knee, I know its probably difficult, but I know a person who carries a foam padded piece of plywood about 10" square with about 3" foam wrapped around it. He will knell on it for short periods of time when necessary.

Another though is to ask someone at a campground to help and then a proper thank you. Maybe some homemade cookies or food or buy them a candy bar/ice cream at the camp store. Once explained as to why you needed their help they will either be very welcome or not. The answer is always NO unless you ask!

WD40 should help with removing tape residue also.

Yes to your macerator question. You can add one to any RV I'd think. This link has some Roadtrek specific info: http://www.emptythetanks.com/road-trek-rvs-install.html

Thank you markopolo! I'll certainly check out the SaniCon system. Jean

Lighter fluid (Naptha) is excellent for removing all kinds of "goo" from tape and labels.
Low odor, won't harm most materials.
This is the stuff used to refill cigarette lighters, not the barbeque lighting stuff.
