Default Removing side panels, 87 Roadtrek, wind noise & Led's

Greetings.

Has anyone have any idea how the cloth panels come off the inside of the van. I would like to run some wiring and find also out where the reinforced beams are. The area I am looking at is the passenger seats the most. I want to install a meter to keep me updated on the battery but I want to hide the wires and also run some additional speaker wires to the rear.
I could use some advice on a recommended meter as well.
I saw this one http://www.rc-electronics-usa.com/ammet ... nitor.html

I also want to change out the cabin lights for LED's I noticed that a thread recommended USDmotorsports. any other recommendations that are in Canada? and directional spot lights for reading?

Has anyone sourced excessive wind noise on these units and problem area's

From the overfilled propane thread. Its now in for repairs and getting a new Nova Kool fridge over the three way dometic. should have it Weds/Thurs next week. Excited to get out on the may long!

Not sure if each topic should have its own thread? I guess as long as its in the subject I am good?

Thanks

On my 2004 the panels appear to be held on by screws capped with an upholstered cap. I believe I could pop the caps off and remove the screws to remove the panel.

TinyoneRV, you've got that right.
Regarding the battery, I mounted an illuminated voltmeter and on/off switch flush on the base of the rear seat (i.e. the storage compartment.) Open the rear coach door, flip the switch and presto there's the voltage reading, day or night.

My 87 Roadtrek does not have the plastic covered upholstery caps and there is no visible screws holding it to the side of the van. under the side ledge there is a trim piece of the same material and then the piece that covers the side of the van to the floor. I am thinking the trip piece covers the screws for the large piece that goes to the floor and basically forces it to the floor and it curves to the outside of the van.
I think if I can get that smaller piece at the top off without wreaking it I should be able to remove the bigger one.
There is no obvious screws showing but I will have a closer look.
Thanks for your help all.

Why not ask Jeff at Roadtrek.

He remembered the construction details of my '89 190 Versatile.

Or any of the guys at the email service or by phone. They're usually pretty good for questions about
any year/make/model. Or you could ask a chassis dealer (Dodge/Chev) to show you. I don't know how
much stuff Roadtrek adds to the doors, if anything at all.
I used Superbrightleds.com and have ordered online from them before. Snail mail shipping is included for
orders over $25 IIRC. You might also try a nearby truck stop, or Canadian Tire/Princess Auto type places
for LEDs.
I'm interested in getting an inexpensive DIY-able coach battery monitor too, so I'm all ears here.

Thanks for the Tips Mike and Hallibagger.
I will E mail Road Trek and ask them directly.
I have looked at some of the stuff at Princess auto as well as Canadian tire. I have not found 1141 replacements in LED there but I have found some other useful stuff.

Thanks.

No problem. Here's the cross reference page for SuperBrightLeds, and they have 1141bulbs in the list.
http://www.superbrightleds.com/bulb_cross.php
Free shipping on minimum orders.
I've used them before for some festoon bulbs for the step courtesy lights in my Chevy van.
