Default Replacement tires

Not ready for replacements yet but have been researching and a lot of folks seem to like Toyo Open Country H/Ts - while others find the Bridgestones (that came on as original equipment) perfectly suitable. I've printed this info and have it stored for future reference.

Any other suggestions?

Another question is: I'm not sure what the "H" in H/T stands for - could it be "Heavy"? Perhaps someone could enlighten me - thanks.....bill

Maybe H/T stands for "highway type".

I liked the Bridgestones on my RT. They were load range E.

Great idea to have this info available.

"highway" I'm beginning to believe - and yes, my Bridgestones are giving me fine service - just looking to see if there's a "hot new tire" out there.

-what happened to my posts? I've replied a couple of times to this thread and those posts are, evidentially, out in cyberspace-

I posted the question of: with the difference in fore and aft tire pressures called for on the R/T190V (and probably all others) is there a problem with increasing the fore and reducing the aft pressures when time comes for a tire rotation?.....bill

Hi guys,

Not real sure about tire designations for different brands, but I drive a 4X4 truck, with A/T tires. The 'A' stands for All-Terrain. My wife's car has M&S/T tires. That stands for Mud & Snow. M/T stands for Mud tires, and if my thinking is correct(and yours) H/T stands for Highway tires.

I have Michelin LTX M/S load range E on my Pleasureway. When I put these tires on, I went with the 'E' range tires, because they are made for heavier loads, thus the van doesn't sway as much in side winds or uneven roads.
