Default Rialta

OK, help me out here. I'm trying to purchase a Rialta. It seems that every time I go to buy one its already gone. Any ideas?

I believe the Rialta is a Class C, you might get more response on the Class C forum.

Either they're really popular, or they were priced to sell.
I think technically they are a (mini) C, but you could probably call them a B+ too.
They may just be well priced, and the ones I've seen have I believe a 3.0 L (+ or -) diesel
engine that gets around 22 mpg, so that might be another reason they vanish so quickly.
Really good gas mileage, better than most B's.

Might depend on where you live, too. Are there any RV dealers near you? Do you see people driving them,
or see them parked in people's driveways? If you're really interested, try leaving the dealers a message
that "if you get any in, call me, and this is my approximate price point" or if there's one just sitting
in someone's driveway, try leaving your number and a similar note, "if you're ever thinking of selling,
give me a cal, your rig looks well cared for" in their mail box. (a little flattery never hurts )

Sorry can't be more help.

I think Mike might be thinking of the "Le Sharo" which had a small European diesel, a Renault I believe. I was interested in one that sat on a lawn near me and checked out the reports on it and it seems that most folks felt the little diesel was not really up to the North American style of driving - several hours in the 60-70mph range.

There was a move afoot to re-engine the Le Sharo with the engine and transmission from a small Dodge car.

I believe the Rialta was the 'fix' for the Le Sharo problem.

Actually I meant the Rialta, which as recently as 2004 came with a 2.8L V6, unless I'm
misunderstanding you, Deryck?
My sister actually had a Le Sharo years ago, and it was a pretty reliable RV according to her
and my brother in law. I do believe you'd be right about long haul wear on the engine.
The one in the link below only boasts 201 HP.
