Default Roadside plans

I got my Good Sam renewal in the mail - $139 for the year.

I can say that their service is any better or worse than anybody else's, or if the whole thing is just a waste of money.

The only benefit in my mind, is that you have one number to call to have a concierge figure out calling around to find you service. When I'm stressed, I find it difficult to get online or call around and search for a provider, etc.

What is the collective wisdom on these plans, and any suggestions? I don't much care about the price - they are all around the same, give or take $. Heck, if there was one that was twice as much, but they were totally awesome to deal with, I'd go for it.

Take a look at Allstate Motor Club:

If you compare price and terms, you won't believe how much of a better deal it is. Good Sams' little secret is that they contract with Allstate to actually provide the services they provide:

so, any claims that Good Sams is "better" are likely nonsense. Going with Allstate just cuts out the middleman. Plus Allstate does not send an endless stream of truly disgusting junk mail that is almost impossible to stop.
