Default Roadtrek Dealer Modifications

I think this is an interesting wrinkle. Lots of Roadtrek owners have modified their coaches subsequent to purchase but this is the first time I've seen significant modifications done by a RT dealer prior to purchase to meet customer requirements. I wonder if the factory warranty remains fully intact.

Not to be a broken record, but NO modification affects the factory warranty in any way. Ever. It doesn't matter who performs them. The modifications themselves will of course not be covered by the OEM warranty, nor will any damage caused by them. But those things are outside the warranty from the get-go. The warranty itself is unaffected.

The woman who purchased this unit came on the Facebook page for the Zion/Simplicity and was thrilled with how it met her needs.

Here's a question for you technical sorts... can you add all that battery power and solar and use the existing wiring? Or does the wiring need to be upgraded.

It all depends on if it was wired for future upgrading when built, or with the bare minimum.

Those are some great modifications! Had no idea Sunshine State RVs would do that. Really impressed.

.

I would rather have the dealer do the upfit than as a factory upgrade.

At least you can go to the dealer and hold him responsible.
The factory is far, and their responses are slow, indifferent, and uncompassionate.

How many dealers are capable of pulling those kinds of modifications off? Care to guess? I can't think of any but this one cited.

How about Lake Region?

Not sure that they would want to though...

I haven't dealt with Lake Region in three years so don't know what they are capable of now, but then they couldn't handle it in my estimation. Not too long ago they were subbing out repairs and modifications to Frank's Repair down the road.
