Default Roadtrek water heater bypass

I am about to winterize my 1996 RT Versatile 190. I bought a bypass kit for my hot water heater, only to discover there is no room to install it. The water heater takes up most of the room in the compartment, and there is just not enough room for the bypass valve kit.
Does any other 1996 Versatile owners have any solutions for bypassing the hot water heater?
Thanks, Jeff

Any chance of you posting a photo?
Also, which bypass kit did you get?

I added one on my van (not a Roadtrek). It was the two valve type kit. I don't remember it taking up much more space. The interconnect hose included in the kit was only 8" so I bought another 8" hose and a coupler. I had to do that because of where I had to set the valves to match the existing plumbing.

I'll try to take a photo to show what I did.

I bought the Camco kit. Just no room to install it right at the back of the heater.

Three Camco water heater by-pass kits here: http://www.camco.net/Products?s=by-pass

I used the Supreme Permanent By-Pass Kit. The valve elbows replaced the pipe elbows that were on the water heater.
