Default Royal Wedding humor - Prince William's bachelor party

I can't take credit for this one, but I thought it was amusing...

…from Jimmy Fallon . . . referring to Prince William's bachelor party:

"It's gotta be weird stuffing money into a stripper's bikini,
when every bill has a photo of your grandmother printed on it."

I like Jimmy Fallon.
Anyway.... I wonder if the "Royals" are like the President of US-- they don't carry cash.... they don't have to.
There was an infamous scene with -I think- Bush Sr "amazed" by a grocery scanner-- I guess it's Barbara that picks up the milk and eggs.

It's true. I think Obama was asked that question and he explained there was no need for the president to carry a wallet. It would be kind of liberating if we could all do it.

First it was credit and debit cards that were easily double scanned, there were people inserting data skimmers
in gas pumps and ATMs, or a CCTV that watched the keypad while you entered your PIN, or just a fake
keyboard that recorded it without your knowledge. So, to "fix" that, they added the RFC (radio frequency
chip) that was supposed to make it harder to steal the information, but the crooks could buy a $100 scanner
and use a small laptop to read them while they're in your pocket. So they get your money and a segue to
stealing your identity, too.
We switched back to cash. It's easier to replace than id, and scanner thieves refer to you as "Mr. President".

You mean trying to patch up what was done the previous 8 years? Doncha hate politics sneaking into a good joke?

Everyone has their personal opinions about what went wrong, and how to fix it.
Some feel it goes back farther than just the previous 8 years to a time when
America was hell bent on making sure they were politically correct, and that
every person in America had a right to own a home, and that lending practices
should be modified to make that happen. And so it came to pass, against the
better judgment of the lenders initially, but then some creative bankers came up with
a way to take advantage of the situation, and the rest is history. I know it's far more
complex than that. It's just an opinion based on the theories espoused about it since
the recession happened. Neither right nor wrong, just an opinion.
One thing I've noticed in the last 2 years since the change in the Executive Branch of the
US government (aka the WH), is the apparent lack of regular open criticism of it, by
America's (formerly) most vocal adversaries. I haven't read much, or heard much on TV
that the mainstream media has covered from the likes of people like Chavez (remember
the hand shaking/gift presentation thing, they covered that?), Castro, Kim Jong Il, or even
Amadinejhad (sp?). Not one of them has really gone on an anti-American rant, out in the
open since the new guy took office. Maybe the Iranian and NKorean guys gave a few don't
interfere with us warnings, but that's about it. If Bush or any other GOP President were in
the WH, those guys would be taking their regular pot shots at America, and it's foreign policy.
Anyone else find that odd?
