Default Safari Condo Electric Roof - T.O.P.S.

At first glance the Safari Condo Electric Roof (T.O.P.S.) looks like a pop-up of some sort with fabric sides. In fact, it has rigid side walls that do not move. Instead, the roof shell powers up or down for extended headroom and light. 5' 7" inside headroom when the roof shell is down and 6' 3" to 6' 4" when the roof is up. Impressive innovation.

Electric Roof with Rigid Side Walls (T.O.P.S.)
easy to use, superior insulation and soundproofing when the roof is opened. Winner of a "Mérite Desjardins" and a "Perséides" Award in the category "Innovation and Technology". Technology exclusive to Safari Condo.
Customers from the U.S. can have a new Safari Condo but they have to first arrange the supply of a U.S. compliant van to Safari Condo. This is the same for a Canadian wanting a new Sportsmobile. They have to supply a Canadian rules compliant van to Sportsmobile in the U.S.

Default Re: Safari Condo Electric Roof - T.O.P.S.

Saw one in Rimouski at the park with the Onandaga submarine a couple of years ago. It looked
pretty solid when raised, and I would imagine is more aerodynamic when closed, than a fixed
raised roof conversion van. The original manufacturer's silhouette is mostly preserved.
I think the side windows in the roof are slightly tinted for additional privacy.
Wonder how expensive they are?
