Out of curiosity, I went onto recreation.gov and started the process of reserving a campsite at Buck Hall. My pass would have gotten me 50% off the cg fee, so I would have paid only $10.

See screenshot below. Note that the "America the Beautiful Annual Pass" does not apply for a discount. My pass looks like the one second from left.

Again, you must be 62+, so that may not apply to you (yet)

Many states also have such passes. Some are for residents only, but others can be purchased by any senior. They vary by state, but are often very good deals. You should always ask when checking-in for the first time in a new state. It is not uncommon that you can save money even on the first night by buying the pass.

Some states, not very many, will honor the above mentioned national senior pass for state park fees.

Do you know of any such list? That would be quite helpful. Most of the states around us require you to be a resident to get any kind of discount, senior or otherwise

Found this site, which lists each state and has links to their websites re: passes

State Park Entrance Passes (All 50 States)

If I find time, I may just try to consolidate all the info into a spreadsheet/matrix.
